FAQs

Is there a calendar for the school year available?

How long is the school day?

The school day begins at 8:30 AM and ends at 4:00 PM on M, Tu, Th and Fri; and from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Wed at all six of our campuses.

Does my child have to wear a uniform?

Yes. Uniforms are required for all students.  Risse Brothers is our preferred uniform provider.  To order uniform items from Risse Brothers, click here.

Is there before/after care or extended learning programming?

Yes. There is a Morning Academy and Extended Learning program available. Morning Academy starts at 7 AM and students will no longer be accepted after 7:30AM. Morning Academy consists of culture building activities, homework help, online interventions and morning energizers to ensure that your child begins their school day excited and prepared to learn.

Extended learning is offered Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesdays from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Our Extended Learning Program complements what the students learn during the day by providing our students with additional academic support in a safe environment.

Registration for each program is due on the 16th of the month PRIOR to the child’s enrollment in the program.  PCS accepts all major credit cards and bank account payments via Tuition Express. No cash, checks, money orders or cashier checks are accepted under any circumstances.

All parents and guardians of students are considered important members of the Center City PCS community. We also welcome parent volunteers. Please contact your campus to find out about opportunities, such as helping in classrooms and chaperoning field trips.

Important policies for students and parents are contained in the Student and Parent Handbook. Each parent and student must sign the contract at the end of this handbook prior to the start of the school year.
