Announcements Highlights

On Saturday, September 24th, staff, students, and families participated in Brightwood’s “Big Dig” with support from REAL School Gardens. The group created three raised beds, a beautiful mulched area, a new weather station and a relocated persimmon tree. Brightwood’s new garden will be used as an outdoor classroom space and to provide hands-on, experiential learning experiences to students in all content areas, from science and ELA to music and dance. Students will learn about healthy eating and students, parents, and community members will participate in planting and maintaining the garden.
